Bossier Firefighters To Hold Fundraiser For Retiree Fighting Cancer
We all know someone who is now or has battled cancer. Depending on the cancer, and its treatment, it can be a hard fight. Many have won through sheer determination and the love and support of their friends and family. Some men and women on the Bossier Fire Department are asking for your help, because they are supporting one of theirs that is now fighting this dreadful disease.
Bossier City Firefighters Local 1051 will fire up the grill this Friday to help retired BCFD firefighter, Hal Curley, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The firefighters will host a lunch fundraiser on September 16 from at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Liberty Garden at the Bossier City Municipal Complex at 620 Benton Road.
Local 1051 members will be grilling up hamburger plate lunches which will be available for purchase to all city employees as well as members of the public for $7 each.
If you can, please swing by, buy a burger, and show some love to one of the area's first responders.
