You Are Invited to a Chicken Swap – What Is that?
I'm disappointed in myself for not knowing about this cool event. It's been happening once a month for much of this year, but this is the last one for 2021. It is this Saturday from 9am-1pm.
It's the Benton Chicken Swap. I was not sure what this was at first. Do you trade chicken soup recipes? Do you actually bring chicken dishes and trade casseroles? Nope. You bring live animals and trade yours for another one you might want.
The Benton Chicken Swap is a family-friendly event where you can bring farm animals you want to trade or sell. You never know what will show up each weekend. You might find goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, quail, guineas, rabbits or many other animal varieties.
This is not just an animal event. You will also find lots of craft and art items. Homemade candles, jewelry, t-shirts, and many other one-of-a-kind items.
You can also find some good food with tamales and burgers plus lemonade and snow cones. They also plan to have a bounce house for youngsters.
This event is free.
