Anthony Davis Requests Trade From Pelicans

It looks as though the days of Anthony Davis in a New Orleans Pelicans uniform are numbered.

The 25-year old Davis is eligible to be offered a five-year, $240 million contract extension by New Orleans this summer.

If Davis does not re-sign, he is eligible to be a free agent in the summer of 2020.

The top pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Davis had been named an NBA All-Star the last five seasons.

Davis, who is currently sidelined with a fractured left index finger, is averaging 29.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per game this season.
