KLSA-TV is reporting that a Caddo Parish constable has warned the public about a scam that is being perpetrated in Shreveport.  It involves thieves posing as UPS drivers.

Here's how it goes:  The scammers contact potential marks and tell them that they are a United Parcel Service (UPS) driver who needs help to provide for his family.  The people are then asked to bring money to the Plantation Inn on Monkhouse Drive.

Apparently the scam is not a new one.  According to KLSA's report, authorities have know about it for more than two years.  So far two people have been arrested.  UPS is aware of the problem and reports that the scam is now being conducted in three cities in Louisiana.
