It's hard to believe that All Elite Wrestling, or AEW, has already been on National television for a year and a half.

AEW launched Dynamite on TNT on October 2nd 2019 to compete with WWE's long time monopoly on nationally televised pro wrestling. The show was designed to showcase the established stars of AEW's new company, while growing new talent the company was acquiring.

Over their first year, the company has been able to regularly beat WWE's NXT programming in head-to-head competitions. This has helped to fuel plenty of speculation about which WWE stars would be willing to "jump ship" to join the new company. Which is something we've seen our fair share of over the first year.

Most recently we saw WWE Superstar The Big Show, or Paul White, jump over to the AEW brand. But there are actually been plenty of names that were 'built' by AEW and not WWE as well. Which has been made very clear during this year's Wrestling Observer Newsletter yearly awards.

There were some AEW wrestlers who won major awards, but had previously found success in WWE. Like Jon Moxley who won Wrestler of the Year, but he was previously known in WWE as Dean Ambrose, where he won the WWE Championship. But outside of that, there were plenty of AEW winners that never made a name in WWE. Here are the awards that pure AEW won during this year's awards:
