Magic Johnson & Other Celebs Respond to Alleged Racist Rant by Clippers Owner

The entertainment community responded quickly to a recorded racist tirade by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

Magic Johnson tweeted, "LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling's comments about African Americans are a black eye for the NBA. I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans."

The tweet continued, "[Cookie] and I will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner."

Audio was released and published by TMZ of a heated exchange between Sterling and his female companion V. Stiviano where he said that he did not want her to "bring black people to his games," including Magic Johnson.

An Instagram picture was also posted, then later deleted, of Stiviano with Johnson at a recent game.

"Why are you taking pictures with minorities," Sterling said allegedly on the tape. "It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. Do you have to?"

The tape continues, "You can sleep with [black people], you can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games."

An even harsher response came from rapper Snoop Dogg via Instagram video, where he basically rips Sterling a new one for the alleged comments. "A message to the motherf--ker that own the Clippers: you b-tch a--, redneck, white bread chicken sh-t motherf--ker. F--k you, your momma and everything connected to you, you racist piece of sh-t. F--k you," said Snoop.

The NBA announced that they will conduct a "full investigation" of the comments made on the tape. NBA executive VP of communications Mike Bass told USA Today, "The remarks heard on the recording are disturbing and offensive, but at this time we have no further information."

There has been no comment from Sterling or his reps.
