If there are two things that cost the Byrd Yellow Jackets on the road at Parkway, they were: turnovers and injuries.

Both allowed David Feaster's Parkway Panthers to defeat the Yellow Jackets on Friday night at Preston-Crownover Stadium in Bossier.

In a match-up of previously undefeated teams, the Parkway Panthers advance to 7-0, while the Byrd Yellow Jackets drop to 7-1.

Despite the score, this was not a typical blow out victory for Parkway by any means. Mistakes and injuries from Byrd, allowed the Panthers to go on a run after trailing 26-21 late in the third quarter.

After the dust settled, the Jackets had a total of 10 turnovers and lost key players in quarterback Tyler Howard and running back Louis Mills.

It is unknown how long how much action the two will miss, but it is known how well backup quarterback Deuce Casten, and running back Keven Starks can fill in.

The Byrd Yellow Jackets will play the role as a road team at Lee Hedges Stadium next week when they face the Southwood Cowboys.

The Parkway Panthers will play the Haughton Buccaneers.
