New Orleans Pelicans make a huge splash in a trade with the Sacramento Kings acquiring DeMarcus Cousins, easily one of the best big men in the game today, with this trade the Pelicans will have a loaded front court with Cousins and Anthony Davis. Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins both played at The University of Kentucky and are now teammates in New Orleans.

The trade consist of the Pelicans giving first round draft pick, SG Buddy Hield, SF Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway and future first and second round pick and the Kings jut giving up DeMarcus Cousins. What Cousins brings to NOLA is a combination of size, speed, strength, and a lot competitiveness. This season Cousins has averaged  27.8 points per game and 10 rebounds per game and his new partner in the paint in the 2017 All-Star Game MVP Anthony Davis, arguably the other best big man in the league, is averaging 27.7 points per game, 11.9 rebounds per game, and 2.5 blocks per game.

If the Pelicans can re-sign the superstar in DeMarcus Cousins then the future looks very bright in NOLA and hopefully they can sign some sharp shooters to make up for losing Buddy Hield and Tyreke Evans but i believe the Pelicans can turn the franchise around starting with this great pick up. Now, we just wait and see how this goes down in New Orleans.
