Former Haughton Buc turned NFL superstar Dak Prescott busted onto the national scene after getting the Dallas Cowboy's starting quarterback job after Tony Romo went down in the pre season. Prescott lost his first regular season start against the New York Giants with a blown play to end the game. After the game against New York, Dak and company went on a 11 game win streak, Prescott did not throw one interception during their win streak.

 

Now, lets acknowledge Ezekiel Elliott's amazing rookie season as well, Elliott led the league in rushing yards, and fourth in total touchdowns as a rookie behind an excellent offensive line in 2016. Who do you think deserves the Rookie of the year award? The rookie quarterback who led a whole team to an 13-3 season and a #1 seed in the playoffs or the sensational rookie running back who led the league in rushing and carried a lot of the team late in games.
