WWE Live Brings The Stars Of Monday Night Raw To Bossier
Shreveport has been a mainstay of professional wrestling since the 1970s. As a focal point of the Mid-South territory, Shreveport hosted some major events, with some legendary names. Guys like Ted DiBiase, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Junkyard Dog, Jake The Snake Roberts, Dr. Death Steve Williams, and a whole bunch of others were a huge part of Shreveport's history.
But over the last couple years, pro wrestling's biggest brand, WWE, has made Bossier City a regular stop on their WWE Live tours. The last time WWE stopped in Shreveport was January of 2015. But truthfully, being in Bossier is just like being in Shreveport.
For all of their recent stops, WWE has sent their "Smackdown Live" brand, affectionately known by fans as their "B" show, but that changes next weekend.
The WWE has split their roster of Superstars into two different shows, Monday Night Raw, and Smackdown Live on Tuesdays. Raw has always been the favorite, it's a longer show, with more history, and is generally given bigger stars. Smackdown has had it's moments in history though, it's been home to The Rock, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena.
So next weekend you'll get to see WWE Superstars like Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax, and many more.
This is another chance for Bossier City and Shreveport to prove that we can support WWE enough to draw a live TV show. Like the area did back in the late 90s and early 2000s. The only way we get there, is to sell out shows like this. So let's get on it!
