Tonight is the NBA Draft, one of the biggest days on the NBA calendar. This year's NBA Draft has been the New Orleans Pelicans show since the night of the Draft Lottery. That night, the Pelicans beat the odds and won the NBA Draft Lottery, securing the #1 pick in the draft.

This year's Draft Lottery could have also been known as the Zion Williamson Sweepstakes. That's because whoever got the #1 pick was nearly destined to take Duke forward Zion Williamson with that #1 overall pick.

NBA experts, coaches, scouts, and fans have all looked at Zion as a "can't miss" prospect since he suited up for the Blue Devils. His Youtube highlight videos from his high school career made him a star online already, and once he could prove he can do it at the NCAA level, the NBA teams started lining up.

Now that the day is here, it's almost getting a feeling of "too good to be true". A feeling like the New York Knicks or Detroit Pistons will call the Pelicans and tell them that they want to trade their next 10 First Round picks for the #1 spot, and the Pelicans won't get Zion.

But right now, that's what it'd take. Some crazy deal that doesn't even make sense to get the Pelicans to not draft Zion. Which could be great news for New Orleans for the next 4-5 years.
