Tim Fletcher: The Pelicans Season Is Underway

The NBA season tipped off last night and it did not go well for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Taking on the defending champion Golden State Warriors and MVP Steph Curry, the injury-plagued Pelicans watched Curry score 24 points---in the first quarter. He finished with 40 in a 111-95 win. Anthony Davis had 18 for New Orleans but hit only 4-of-20 shots from the floor
