Tim Fletcher: Longtime Haughton Football Coach Retiring

Haughton Buccaneers longtime head coach Rodney Guin is stepping down after this, his 16th season leading the team.  Guin told the Shreveport Times' Roy Lang, "People always say you will know when it's time to do something else---it's just time.  It's time to let somebody else have this great job here."

Guin, with 32 plus years as a coach,  holds the school record with 120 victories.

The announcement comes nearly 16 months after Guin suffered a near-fatal heart attack in his home.
