The Rock Narrates LSU Hype Video For Friend Ed Orgeron
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the People's Champ. Has been for a long time. From pro wrestling icon to the biggest star in Hollywood, The Rock has been everything. But before it all got started for him in the ring, or in front of the camera on movie sets, The Rock was a college football player.
Back in the day, Dwayne Johnson was a Defensive Line star at Miami (FL), playing on a National Championship team with football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp. His Defensive Line Coach with the Miami Hurricanes? Ed Orgeron. The very same Ed Orgeron who is the Head Coach of the LSU Tigers.
Orgeron once described The Rock to ESPN, saying:
"He was a highly recruited kid. We were excited to have him, he came to us ahead of his time. He was developed and was extremely quick. He was a hard worker and a humble young man.
"Everybody liked him. He was easily coachable and everybody was impressed with him. He came in and played a lot as a freshman."
