The Texas Tech Red Raiders won another Big 12 regular season championship, another regional, another super regional, and two games in Omaha for the first time in school history. But even after all of those accolades, the Red Raiders' season ended on a down note.

That will be a true statement for 63 teams that made the NCAA tournament, as only one team can end the year on a post-season win.

Michigan took advantage of free passes and mistakes on their way to a commanding 15-3 win over Texas Tech, who lost both of their games in Omaha to the Wolverines.

Red Raider pitchers walked 12 batters and hit another as they loaded the bases for Michigan's 14 hits. The Texas Tech offense showed signs of life during the game, getting lead-off batters aboard in most innings before hitting into double plays and fielder's choice outs. The Red Raiders' three runs all came in the 2nd inning.

Tim Tadlock's team finished 2019 with a final record of 46-19.

Texas Tech stars Josh Jung, Gabe Holt and Cameron Warren have played their final game as Red Raiders, but most of the lineup will return next season. Taylor Floyd, Caleb Kilian and John McMillon are also among players not returning for the 2020 baseball season after being drafted this year.

Texas Tech has a lot of pieces returning next season as they try to attempt to go back to Omaha for the third straight season.
