Springtime is finally here, and with it come baseball season!  The crack of the bat and constant pollen-bombardment go hand in hand, and it has been that way for many years.  While the professional baseball we enjoy today is steeped in tradition, it isn't immune to change.  Some of the most profound changes I've seen in the game since the designated hitter rule was introduced back in 1973 have just occurred in Arlington at the home of the mighty Texas Rangers, and we need to talk about it.

According to a report from the Dallas Morning News, some one in charge of the concession stands at Globe Life Field has lost their mind.  I'm basing that statement on the crazy new additions to the menu at the Rangers home base.  Amongst the standard hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and the standard fare are some truly unique items that are so strange we have to have them.

Reportedly, Rangers fans can treat their taste buds to delicacies like the Chicken-Fried Brisket Sandwich made with 100% Pure Nolan Ryan Beef (probably from a cow named Robin Ventura).  If that's not your thing, how about the alligator corn dog?  It's a regular corn dog made with gator andouille sausage with a little kick of spice.  The brisket egg rolls seem pretty intriguing as well.  These multinational snacks are actually making a return to the menu after a brief run last year.

Mac and cheese nachos, vegan chicken salad sandwich, vegan bratwurst, cornbread chili pie dog (pictured at the top of this article), and Golden Chick loaded fries round out the list of new additions this year.
