In a scene that I can only imagine to be somewhat "Forest Gump-ish", a Texas man was just arrested, but he had to make a quick trip to the hospital with a bullet wound to his buttock

KSAT.com reports that at 12:30 am this past Sunday morning, San Antonio Police Department officers responded to a call regarding a shooting and upon arrival they discovered a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his buttock.

And this is where the story gets really interesting, if not comical. According to witnesses being interviewed by police, the man had fired a number of shots into the air and had accidentally shot himself.....in the buttock.

Yep, Shot Himself Right There In The Hiney

Still to be determined is how the accident occurred. Did one of the bullets he fired into the sky come down and hit him in the buttock, or was there some type of accidental discharge that struck him in the butt?  That part of the story is still unclear.

What is clear is that the man will survive the "butt wound". He was treated at the hospital and at last check was in stable condition. However, when San Antonio Police discovered he was wanted on a number of warrants, he was arrested.

No word yet on whether he'll face additional gun charges, but rest assured, he'll likely be the "butt" of all the jokes at the jailhouse.
