Terry Bradshaw didn't like how Drew Brees handled the celebration of his record setting 48th consecutive game with a TD pass. Drew broke Johnny Unitas' long-standing NFL record on Sunday night. Bradshaw made comments on New York's WFAN that didn't approve of the Saint quarterback.

The four time Superbowl champ and current Fox analyst wasn't happy with Drew's request of the commissioner to let Sean Payton and other suspended New Orleans brass attend the game Sunday night.

I was a little upset that he went to the NFL to get Payton and everybody back to watch him break a record," Bradshaw said. "I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' I never would have gone and asked for them back … I thought it was disrespectful to the San Diego Chargers … So break it, go ahead. Hell, you're throwing it 50 times a game … I'm just against stuff like that. I just don't believe in doing stuff like that.

I think Terry is way out of line hear and possibly a little jealous that he may no longer be the most celebrated quarterback in Louisiana.  I would give Bradshaw's comments some credence except for the fact that all Drew talked about after the breaking the record was how he shared in this with his team-mates and coaches and that they were as much a part of breaking this record as he was.  Drew re-iterated that he wanted to have coach Payton and others in the building because they have been there over the 4 years it took to break the record and they had a big hand in Drew's success.

Terry wasn't even impressed with the NFL record, he went on to comment on it on WFAN.

I'm not much on that stuff … I'm not into records, fellas. I'm just into winning football games. [The Saints] hadn't won a game … I'm not into records, I'm into winning Super Bowls … These things aren't important. We lose sight of why we play. We play to win and to win championships, not to break records.
