Louisiana's favorite spooky kids movie is a Steven Spielberg classic.

With Halloween right around the corner, we're all looking for ways to soak in all things spooky. For me, that's loading up the DVR with Halloween-themed shows (like Halloween Baking Championship on Food Network) and movies. Streaming services like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu are no streaming our favorite spook kids movies.

Which is our favorite in the state of Louisiana?

We look to Frontier Communications for the answer. Recently they compiled data from Google Trends dating back to October 2016 and determined which kid-friendly films were searched for the most in each state. The result for Louisiana is a classic about an alien just trying to get home.

Louisiana's most searched spooky kids' movie is E.T. If you're interested in reliving your childhood, or introducing this classic, Drew Barrymore-career-launching film, you can stream it now on Netflix. I'll admit, E.T. was pretty spooky when I was a kid.
