Star Trek Actor Coming To Lake Charles For CyPhaCon
The Shreveport and Bossier geek community has been celebrating geek culture for a long time. With the centerpiece of the geek community becoming Geek'd Con, Shreveport's comic con, every August at the Shreveport Convention Center. But it's a long way until August.
But we've got good news for those who need a comic con fix before that, because CyPhaCon is returning to the Lake Charles Civic Center this April. It's a 3-day event, that is a combination of Anime, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and gaming. This year's CyPhaCon is set for April 3rd-5th, 2020. The event has been running since 2011, and has featured celebrity guests like Julian Glover, Sonny Strait, Chuck Huber, Tony Amendola, Monica Rial, Robert Axelrod, and many more.
This year, CyPhaCon's guest list features the star of multiple sci-fi and horror films Doug Jones, Cristina Vee from Sailor Moon, Eric Vale from the Dragon Ball universe, and now, a pretty big name to top their lineup.
Tonight CyPhaCon announced another addition to their guest list, Star Trek actor Tim Russ.
Russ is best known for his role is Star Trek: Voyager, where he played Lt. Commander Tuvok, a role he played for 170 episodes. But that's not all he's known for.
Other roles that Russ might be known for are as Principal Franklin in iCarly, Frank in Samantha Who?, and as the voice of Solomon in Sym-Bionic Titan. Russ is also an Emmy Award winner for his Public Service Announcement work.
