The Southeastern Conference announced on Monday that LSU's Oct. 1 game against Kentucky will kickoff at 11:20 a.m. central in Death Valley.

Because of CBS's exclusive windows for both the 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. time slots on this day, the only available start time for the other networks is prior to 12 O'clock noon.

This is the first time since Sept. 30, 2006, that LSU has played host to a conference opponent in this time slot. In 2008, LSU was up against Appalachian State at 10 a.m. due to the threat of Hurricane Gustav.
