Shreveport's Sam Burns shot a second round 75 Friday and missed the cut at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis. Burns two round score of seven over par, 147, trailed tournament leader Brooks Koepka by 16 shots.

The St. Jude event is Burns second sot at the PGA tour this tear. At his pro tourney debut in March, Burns shot 89 - 77 at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.

Burns, a Calvary High grad, is the nation's top ranked junior golfer. In addition, the future LSU player recently moved up to No. 4 in the World Golf Amateur Ranking.
