Shreveport Traveling Steak Salesman Arrested For Pretending To Be A State Trooper
KTAL reports that 47 year old Lester Wells was a traveling steak salesman who would pretend to be a Louisiana State Trooper in order to get discounts. Investigators have been looking into Wells since April 13th when a complaint was filed against him with the state troopers. It's believed Lester received free auto parts, law enforcement discounts and large donations because people believed he was a trooper.
Wells was arrested after he arrived at the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Office in Bossier City for what he thought was a routine sales call with a possible new client. Lester Wells admitted posing as a state trooper and told officers that he used it to better his business.
