Shreveport Police will hold a safety checkpoint Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in East Shreveport.

The Shreveport Police will be conducting a Multi-Agency Seatbelt Checkpoint with LSP and The Caddo Sheriff’s Office beginning on April 06, 2022, at 1:00pm and ending  at 5:00pm.

This checkpoint will target drivers who are not wearing seatbelts but is not limited to this offense. Officers working this safety checkpoint will use spotters to identify drivers that are not in compliance with occupant protection laws.

Funding for the checkpoint is provided by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission as part of the continuing effort to help curb the number of those drivers who are not wearing an occupant protection device and take to the streets each year in our area.
