The New Orleans Saints added a receiver depth on Wednesday, signing a Louisiana native to their practice squad.


A native of West Monroe, Turner played his high school football at West Monroe, before playing college football at Louisiana Tech, where he caught 45 passes for 653 yards and three touchdowns as a senior in 2015.

An undrafted free agent, Turner spent some time with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016, compiling 9 receptions for 126 yards.

The 25-year old Turner signed a reserve/future contract with the Saints last Jauary, prior to being released in June.

In other Saints news; prior to signing defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker, the team also worked out defensive linemen Jarvis Jenkins, Chris Okoye, and Sealver Siliga.
