The New Orleans Saints season has ended after Saturday’s Divisional Round loss to the Seahawks 23-15.

Despite a furious charge at the end of the game, New Orleans couldn’t overcome early missed opportunities coupled with a Mark Ingram turnover.

The Saints defense played well, but the offense had trouble with the Seahawks "Legion of Boom" defense.

It was a remarkable year following the Saints Bounty-gate stained 2012 season which saw them finish 7-9 with the worst defense in NFL history. In 2013, new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan helped the Saints finish with the most improved defense in NFL history.

The Saints have some work to do in the off-season as they are about 12 million dollars over the salary cap and All-pro tight end Jimmy Graham will be a free agent. The Saints are expected to give Graham the franchise tag.

The Saints also need to improve in the kicking game, replacement kicker Shayne Graham missed two field goals in the loss to Seattle.
