Texas Rangers Want Yu to Be Less Like Nolan Ryan, More Like Greg Maddux

The Rangers have the worst record in the Cactus League among American League teams with a mark of 3-7-2.  Not a great start to the spring, but baseball is a marathon... not a sprint.

Yu Darvish threw 60 pitches in a five inning stint on Monday.  Ranger blogger Gerry Fraley writes that the club wants Darvish to be more Maddux-like than Nolan-like on the mound. Darvish has a goal this season to go deeper into games and be more efficient.  Manager Ron Washington indicates that Geovany Soto will be Yu's personal catcher this season.

Also, Washington was on Dallas radio Monday and said that he isn't mad at former Ranger Ian Kinsler for his comments, but he is disappointed.
