After a 1-9 overall record, and a 1-4 record in District 1-4A play, the Minden Crimson Tide find themselves looking for a new head coach.

Early Monday morning, Minden Crimson Tide head coach Randy Peters walked into the office of principal Robin Tucker to officially put in his resignation for the position he held for the past three seasons.

Peters, who has spent the last three season as the head coach for the Crimson Tide, spent two years before that as an assistant.

He cites just wanting to take a break from the game as a reason for his retirement. Overall, Peters has coached high school football for 25 years, and has spent 12 of those years as a head coach.

Starting Monday afternoon, Tucker and the Webster Parish School Board will begin the search for a new head coach.
