For his heroics this past week at Southern Arkansas and SAGU, Pilots first baseman Kyle Pearson was rewarded for his efforts.

Pearson drove in a total of nine runs this week against the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders and the Southwestern Assemblies of God (SAGU) Lions as the Pilots went 4-0.

For his outstanding play, Pearson was named the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the week of April 1-7.

Over the weekend, Pearson went 7-for-8 in a doubleheader sweep of SAGU on the road.

In Game 1 on Saturday, Pearson hit two doubles and drove in five RBI's.

In Game 2, he hit a double had four RBI's.

Pearson, a product of North DeSoto HIgh School helped the Pilots improve their overall record to 28-13 (13-8 Red River Athletic Conference).

The Pilots return home to Shreveport after a long road trip to take on the William Carey Crusaders in a doubleheader that begins at 4 p.m.
