Mike McConathy

Connection:  Lived in Shreveport/Bossier City area.  Attended Airline High School.  Former Head Basketball Coach at BPCC.

Achievements:  Played basketball at Airline and earned Sunkist All-America Honors in 1973.  Mike played college basketball at Louisiana Tech where he was a two-time All-Conference pick and he earned Conference Player of the Year Honors. Member of the Louisiana Tech Hall of Fame.  Head Basketball Coach at BPCC for 16 seasons. Current Head Basketball Coach at Northwestern State.  Southland Conference Tournament Champions 2001, 2006, 2013.  SLC Regular Season Champions 2005, 2006.  SLC Coach of the year 2005, 2006.  Son of John McConathy, who was the fifth overall pick in the 1951 NBA Draft.
