Meet The Creator Of Thanos And Shang-Chi This Spring In Alabama
One of the best pop culture events in the region is setting up for their biggest year ever in 2022. The Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo is coming back to the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama this April. The dates are April 22nd through 24th, and this year's show promises to bring one (if not the) best lineup the show has ever had.
This is great news for geeks in the Shreveport and Bossier area, because the show is just a day drive from the Shreveport. Looking at their lineup, this show is going to be well worth the drive.
At the top of their lineup, you see one of the biggest names in comic book history, Kevin Eastman. He is the creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and will be at the show on Saturday and Sunday. The comic book artist remains as one of the biggest names in the history of the comic book industry for his Turtles creation, as well as the work he's done to further the medium.
But Eastman isn't the only comic book royalty lined up for Huntsville this year. Because Jim Starlin will be there was well.
Starlin is an Eisner Award Hall of Fame member, and has created some of the biggest names in comic book history. His list of creations include Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, Chang-Chi, and Gamora. These characters have jumped off the pages and have become major stars in the pop culture world through the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition to his Marvel work, Starlin did incredible work for DC Comics, including tremendous work with characters like Darkseid and Batman. While working on Batman, Starlin put together the story "A Death In The Family" storyline.
