Some people take the Halloween season more serious than others. In my neighborhood, I'm married to the Halloween Captain. My wife is getting stuff ready by September 1st. She has Halloween trees (like Christmas trees, but full of Halloween decorations), props, lights, yard decorations, and a ton more she rolls out annually. It's pretty awesome.

For the last few years, we've tried to be "that house" during trick-or-treating as well. We've often invested in a stockpile of full sized candy bars. We do have to go "fun size" on the backups, but try to always make sure we have enough to get through the night.

All of our Halloween fun is just that, fun. We don't see it as competition in anyway. But that's not how everyone views it. Check out Juston McKinney's political attack ad he put together against his neighbors...
