Death Valley is everything it's cracked up to be.  The hype really is not hype at all, but instead is an electric experience that's unforgettable.   The LSU Tigers chalked up another impressive win at Tiger Stadium Saturday for homecoming against the Western Kentucky "Big Red."

It's the first time my family and I have had the privilege of attending a national championship team's game  at the Cathedral of College football.  And an experience we'll certainly never forget.

The No. 1  LSU Tigers are now ranked at the top in every poll,  including the AP Top 25 College Poll,   The USA Today Coaches  poll,  even the Harris interactive poll.

Jordan Jefferson started at quarterback and was amazing in passing and rushing.  Michael Ford,  who nearly scored the only touchdown against Bama, was also impressive.  The fans were yelling Blue (not Boo, LOL) for running back Alfred Blue,  who also had a great game.

Saturday's homecoming win for the Tigers was Coach Les Miles' 100th career win.

LSU is now 10-0 for the first time since winning its first national championship in 1958.

They still have to get by Ole Miss and Arkansas,  before the  National Championship Bowl  game.  But,  most sports writers predict they'll win both games and wind up 12-0 going into the national championship bowl game.

They're on the road Saturday in Oxford, Miss., against Ole Miss.  Pregame is at 4 with kickoff at 6 pm.  And as usual,  you can hear all the action on AM 1130, KWKH,  your home for the LSU Tigers.
