News broke yesterday that former Red Raider, and now former LSU Tiger, is back in the transfer portal. Jonathon Giles was in the middle of a historic breakout season before being out shined down the stretch by current Houston Texans receiver Keke Coutee. After that 2016, Keke went on to have another great season as a Red Raider and went on to be drafted.

Giles left Texas Tech amidst some dysfunction and playing time concerns. He followed Braden Fehoko to LSU, redshirted in 2017 and then came into 2018 with a ton of hype. Suffice it to say, he did not live up to the hype.

Long story short, Giles is back on the move which made me think, "Would Texas Tech fans want Giles back in Lubbock?" Granted, I have no idea if he wants to come back. I also know it's a new coaching staff so the circumstances are different than returning to the same coaches, but it's still the same logo and fan base. Would Giles be welcomed back like a prodigal son? Or would the Jones make up a fancy chant to sing like they did to Baker Mayfield.

I posed the question on twitter.com and the responses were predictable, but the vote was closer than I thought it would be.
