Second-ranked LSU will put the nation's longest regular-season non-conference winning streak on the line tonight when the Tigers host Northwestern State at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.

Hear it on KWKH AM 1130, pregame at show at 5:00 pm - Kick0ff at 7:00 pm.

It will be the first meeting between the two teams since 1942 when the Tigers won in Tiger Stadium, 40-0.

The game will also serve as a homecoming for Northwestern State head coach Bradley Dale Peveto, who served as an assistant on Les Miles' LSU staff from 2005-08, helping the Tigers to the national title in 2007.

LSU brings a 34-game non-conference regular-season winning streak into the Northwestern State contest, a stretch the goes back to the 2002 season when the Tigers dropped a 26-8 decision on the road to Virginia Tech. The 34-game streak by the Tigers leads Wisconsin (29 straight), Missouri (22) and Kentucky (20).

LSU also brings the following winning streaks into the Northwestern State game: 31 straight against non-conference opponents in Tiger Stadium; 27 straight against teams from Louisiana; 18 straight wins during the month of September; 11 straight wins in Tiger Stadium.
