LSU Sends Ole Miss Back Home!

It was one of those ol' fashioned batting practice games, where the Tigers pounded out 17 hits and was able to give LSU starting pitcher Kevin Gausman TONS of support!

Here's the story:

The Tigers charged out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning and they never looked back!

LSU went onto light up Ole Miss Rebels' pitching as the added five more runs in the 8th inning, to extend the lead to 7-2.

In the top half of the 9th inning, LSU was not done! The Tigers added two more runs, taking a 9-2 lead!

Tigers' pitching was able to close out the Rebels and eliminated them from SEC tournament action, and perhaps ended their season over all.

Notable players who played BIG roles in today's game were: Austin Nola who had three hits, Jordy Snikeris who plated four runs, and Tyler Moore and Ty Ross, who each sent home a runner each!

LSU plays the winner of the Mississippi State/Kentucky game, happening right now.

We do know whoever wins that game will play LSU tomorrow at 3 p.m.!
