Overall it has been a great road trip for head coach Kyle Blankenship and his LSU-Shreveport Pilots. And the trip was capped with a 98-73 victory over the Bacone College Warriors.

It was a contest where the Pilots found themselves digging themselves out of a hole early.

After the Warriors shot their way to an early 10-0 lead, the Pilots were searching for answers.

As it turns out, their answer was Brandon Davis who finished the game with 31 points, and 10 rebounds. This was Davis' fourth consecutive game with a double-double.

Davis also brought his team back in the game offensively to cause his team to take their first lead of the game with 8 minutes to go before halftime and take a 40-34 lead into the locker room.

The second half was a different story for the Pilots, as they outscored the Warriors 58-39 in the latter half of the game.

The Pilots' leading scorer Rodney Milum led his team to victory from downtown, as he scored 25 points, and he was 7-17 from three-point range.

All in part led to the Pilots picking up another road victory 98-73. With the win, the Pilots advance to 13-4 on the season and 9-3 in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Pilots move their way up to second place in the conference and are only a game out of first place.

After the game coach Kyle Blankenship commented after his team picked up their second road victory during this trip,

"We didn't get off to a very good start giving up the first ten points of the game but stayed the course and was able to get the lead going into halftime.  We are glad to get two road wins but don't have much time to enjoy them.  We have a big match-up Thursday night against St. Thomas.  We are just glad we finally get to play back at home."

The Pilots return home to "The Dock" to square off against the University of St. Thomas Celts on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
