After a rough loss in Fort Worth on Thursday night, the LSU-Shreveport Pilots eagerly hoped to continue what they do best. Win on the road.

With the help of the Pilots defense that was a possibility.

Pilots head coach Kyle Blankenship called this "...one of the best defensive performances of the year."

Blankenship's words may have been true, as Brandon Davis led his team with 12 rebounds, to complement his 22 points in the game. This was en route to the Pilots 77-71 road victory.

Aside from Davis' efforts, the Pilots were able to get key stops throughout the game, especially in the second half.

Three-point shooting for the Pilots was definitely not an issue on Saturday, as the team shot 56% from 3-point range in the first half alone, going (8-17).

Besides, Davis having yet another double digit point game, Rodney Milum netted 12 points and Mark Politte had 10 on the night.

After the game, coach Blankenship spoke on playing in Langston saying, "This is a great win for our ball club. Langston is a very well-coached team, and the Lion's Den is a very tough place to play."

The Pilots continue their road trip Monday night against the Bacone College Warriors in Muskogee, Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m.
