LSU, La Tech Men to Play in NIT

No NCAA Tournament for either the men of LSU or Louisiana Tech, but they will be tournament-ing in the NIT!

San Francisco! That’s who the LSU Men’s basketball team will play in the first round of the NIT Tournament. The Tigers drew a five seed and will travel to the Bay area for a Wednesday night matchup with the Dons.

LSU does not have a great history in the NIT.  The Tigers made it all the way to the third place consolation game in 1970, but in five NIT appearances since then... LSU has only won a single game.

Tip off Wednesday will be at 9pm and you’ll hear the game on 1130 the Tiger.

Louisiana Tech Draws #3 Seed in NIT

Louisiana Tech will also play in the NIT after losing in the Conference USA Tournament title game. The 'Dunkin Dawgs' draw Iona. The Bulldogs go in as a three seed, so they’ll host on Wednesday, tip off in Ruston at 6:30pm.
