Fans of Southeastern Conference Basketball will be flocking, well most likely to their TVs and Radios over the next few nights, since in-person attendance at the 2021 Southeastern Conference Basketball Tournament will be limited. But at least this season, we're going to have a tournament. And that tournament gets underway tonight.

The SEC Tournament opener will be televised on the SEC Network and will feature #12 seed Vanderbilt taking on #13 Seed Texas A&M. The rest of the action from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville will get underway during the day on Thursday.

As you can see, LSU Tiger fans won't really get interested in the action until late tomorrow night when South Carolina and Ole Miss meet in the 9 pm game. The LSU Tigers will face the winner of that game on Friday night in the 9 pm contest.

On Tuesday it was announced that three LSU players,  Cameron ThomasJavonte SmartTrendon Watford were placed on the All-SEC teams by members of the Associated Press and the SEC coaches. Thomas, a freshman was named a first-team All-SEC member as well as being selected to be a part of the SEC-All Freshman team.

The Tigers enter tournament play with an overall record of 16 wins against 8 losses. LSU finished the conference schedule with a record of 11 wins against 6 losses.

Many pundits have the Tigers moving from the SEC Tournament into the NCAA Men's Tournament next week as high as a number eight seed and as low as a number ten seed. How the Tigers play in Nashville will go a long way in determining just where they are seeded for that tournament.
