LSU Gets Nation’s Top Quarterback Recruit [Video]
Geaux Tigers! If you think this year's LSU SEC Champ/National Champ contenders are great, (pardon the bad grammar), but you ain't seen nothin' yet.
LSU has a commitment from one of the nation's top quarterback recruits. His name is Gunner Kiel. You'll hear that name many more times. He's a five star quarterback from Columbus, Indiana. He decided on the Tigers after considering Notre Dame and Vanderbilt.
"When I went to Louisiana, it was just awesome," Kiel told the website MyIndianaFootball.com. "Friday I woke up and told my parents 'I'm ready to commit. I want to go to LSU and this is the best place for me."
Originally, The Bayou Bengals were not a factor in his recruitment when he committed to Indiana in the summer but LSU made a big impression on Kiel since late October. HELLO!
They've been ranked number one the entire season, with no losses, beat Bama in a thriller in T-Town with a last minute field goal, and are SEC Champs.
If they beat Bama in the BCS Championship game at the New Orleans Superdome January 9th, they'll be one of only five teams, who have taken the championship with 14 wins.
Gunner, welcome to Cajun Country. You made the right choice!
