The LSU Football Program has received a verbal commitment from another four-star prospect. Again, one from inside the state of Louisiana too, as four-star linebacker Donte Starks, out of John Ehret High School in New Orleans, has committed to the Tigers.

Starks also had offers from Alabama, Michigan, Texas, Auburn, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Georgia and other SEC schools. He’ ranks as the third best inside linebackers in the country, and the 4th highest rated prospect in the state of Louisiana (according to 247Sports.com).

Starks, who checks in at 6'1, 225 lbs, has bounced between Louisiana and Mississippi high schools for the last few years, but has announced he will end his career at John Ehret High School. Starks released an announcement video this week

LSU now has 19 commitments for 2019, and their recruiting class has moved up to a #3 ranking. The only teams ahead of LSU are Texas A&M (#2) and Alabama (#1). LSU has multiple other offers out right now, that could help to improve that ranking quickly.
