Well, the LSU Tigers went into Columbia and came away with a tough win against South Carolina. That was a game that many LSU fans didn't think the team could win...but they did. So now we're back on "we could make the College Football Playoff" territory.

But that seems like an extreme right now. It also feels like an extreme to say the team won't make a post season game at all though. So instead of playing in the extremes, lets look at the same thing most experts are right now: LSU is obviously good enough to play in a bowl game.

Could that bowl end up being a College Football Playoff game? Yes, there's still a chance. Probably a better chance they will make the Playoffs than to miss a bowl altogether. A team needs 6 wins to become bowl eligible, and LSU has two already. Just looking at the remaining schedule for another 4 wins, and you see teams like South Alabama, Florida, and Vanderbilt that all feel very winnable. This week's game in Baton Rouge feels like a huge revenge game too.

UCLA is coming in to Tiger Stadium, after the Bruins ruined the start of LSU's 2021 season with a 38-27 win. This is the first time the teams have met since then, and coming off a win some fans didn't expect, Tiger Stadium could morph into the "...dreams come to die" version of Death Valley.

If LSU beats UCLA, and they win the winnable games on their schedule, they're going to make a bowl.

Brett McMurphy of Action Sports now projects LSU to make the Music City Bowl in Nashville on December 30th. He projects the Tigers will play Indiana.

College Football News projects LSU to play in the Texas Bowl in Houston on December 31st. They currently predict they will face off with Iowa State.

At this point, LSU can start planning a bowl trip...they just don't know where yet.
