LSU Beats BYU in Walk-Off Fashion: Rhymes wins it in the 9th! [VIDEO]
The LSU Baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to earn a walk-off victory against BYU, winning 6-5 Thursday night in Alex Box Stadium.
Third baseman Christian Ibarra tied the game 5-5 in the ninth with a one-out solo homer. After that, the Tigers loaded the bases and Raph Rhymes hit a walk-off single to seal the victory. Mason Katz also homered in the game.
Austin Nola threw six inning giving up four runs, but Joey Bourgeois got the win recording the final five outs. LSU is now 5-0 on the young season.
The Tigers are back in Alex Box tonight, and back on 1130 the Tiger facing Southeastern Louisiana. Coverage starts at 6:30, first pitch at 7.
