LSU Accepts Bid to Outback Bowl Against Iowa

The LSU Tigers are going to Tampa. The Tigers will face Iowa in the Outback Bowl on New Years Day.

LSU and Iowa faced each other in the 2005 Captial One Bowl, a game which the Hawkeyes won 30-25 on a last second touchdown pass. The loss was Nick Saban’s final game as head coach of LSU.

Iowa finished their season 8-4 overal, 5-3 in the Big Ten but won their final three games over Nebraska, Michigan and Purdue. The Tigers finish the season ranked 16th in the BCS and 14th in the AP and Coaches polls.
