Dr. Jim Henderson, President and CEO of the Louisiana University System, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his plan to get more adults into the state's college system, as, more and more, advanced education is needed to fill jobs in a rapidly changing economy.

The former Bossier parish Community College Chancellor says that the heads of the nine schools in the University of Louisiana System are working on a plan to encourage another 150,000 people across the stateto get four-year degrees.

Henderson also tells KEEL listeners that there also needs to be a cultural change in the state, one that emphasizes education beyond high school, and that most of the most in-demand jobs today didn't even exist a decade or so ago.
