Shreveport's Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Liz Swaine talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about plans to reinvigorate the city's downtown and how that could be affected by the possible Cross Bayou development.

In reference to that the proposed billion dollar plan, Swaine tells KEEL listeners, "Renovating downtown Shreveport sounds great. There's a lot of that happening downtown already. But, we do have some additional buildings that people could do wonderful projects in, including apartments, retail, commercial, office and all those things that you talk about. (But) private money can develop wherever private money wants to develop, because, ultimately, they're trying to find a place that's going to give them the best return on their investment dollars."
