It has been a great week for manager Rocke Musgraves and his crew. Over the weekend at Pilot Field in Shreveport, the Pilots swept the University of Houston Victoria Jaguars.

Tuesday afternoon, did the Pilots did the same thing - this time in the Jaguars' house.

The Pilots continue their winning streak at 6 games as they defeat the Houston-Victoria Jaguars in a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader in Houston, 12-2 and 8-1.

Pilots pitcher Caleb Olson improves his record to 1-1 on the season, with help from senior slugger Kyle Pearson's bases clearing triple to give the Pilots a 9-1 advantage in the 4th inning. This was all in part of a five-run 4th inning for LSU-S.

Olson got his first victory of the season after pitching five innings, striking out five batters, and giving up six hits and two runs.

In Game 2, the Jaguars got on the board first after scoring a run off of a single in the bottom of the 1st inning.

The Pilots charged back the very next inning when David Dorton put a two-run longball over the bleachers, for his first home run of the season. Dorton's blast was all part of a six-run inning for the Pilots.

The Pilots' Manny Estrada drove in two runs when he hit a bases loaded single to left. Estrada was 2-for-3 for the afternoon.

Freshman Trent Cormier got his first win of his collegiate career pitching four innings, giving up five hits, one run, and striking out four.

The Pilots who are now 6-2 on the season, following a 1-2 start, return home to face off against the Culver-Stockton Wildcats on Friday at 4 p.m.
