After barely beating an FCS school in week one and losing to Coastal Carolina in week two, there were some who wondered whether former LSU coach Les Miles would win a game in his first season.

Wonder no more.

Kansas throttled Boston College 48-24 Friday night, their first road win over a Power Five school since 2008, a losing streak that had reached 48 games.  Kansas entered the game as a three touchdown underdog.

The Jayhawks' defense shut out the Eagles in the second half and Kansas scored 27 unanswered points.  Kansas had five scoring drives of 78 or more yards and rolled up 567 yards in offense.

Kansas hosts West Virginia in its Big 12 opener next week.
