Achievements:  Member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.  Two-time Olympic Medalist. Member of the US Gymnastics Hall of Fame.  Kathy Johnson Clarke is one of only three American women to win an individual medal in both World Championship and Olympic gymnastics competition.  An All-American at Centenary College in 1978 and 1979, Kathy Johnson made the U.S. Olympic team in 1980 and won two medals in the 1984 Games, taking a team silver and an individual bronze on the balance beam. She is one of only five U.S. women to win an individual Olympic medal. She was the 1984 USA Olympic gymnastics team captain and twice was named America’s Gymnast of the Year (1977, 1985). She has also been a network analyst for ABC and ESPN.
